La Choza del Mundo is a community for people creating their work from their passion.

The Choza is a place to work on projects and collaborate with driven people. We come together here to envision, debate, and implement positive futures for humanity and society. The Choza is located away from the distractions and routine of daily life, on 25 acres of rural rainforest in the mountains of Costa Rica. By removing ourselves from our typical physical locations, our mental perspectives shift as well.

The Choza is built on a membership model to reflect the importance of community in accomplishing change. Communities can support and provide a natural space for the incubation of powerful ideas. It also creates the trust necessary to challenge one another, improving the quality of our work. Through collaboration, work and fun blur, causing us to be more effective.

Our Membership

The Choza is comprised of individuals taking part in contemplating, defining, communicating, and implementing the vector of human progress. These individuals have many different and diverse paths through life. At the Choza’s advance space, we come together to support, challenge, and catalyze each others’ passions.

Letting your passions guide your work is what we call doing your life’s work. This is your outlet; your way of communicating and creating.  It is the work that you love to do.

Why call it a retreat, when we intend to move forward? La Choza del Mundo is a self-serve space for collaboration and the development of ideas. Come to the Choza to work on your own, organize a brainstorm or a meeting, cook meals with others, or philosophize while exploring our 25 acres of rural rainforest land.
