In 2005, four friends with a powerful vision came together to create La Choza del Mundo. We believe in the catalyzing power of a network of passionate people committed to collaboration and innovation in human endeavor. The Choza facilitates research and education through exchanges among individuals and groups from a broad range of communities. The result is a thriving environment for philosophy, learning, and growth that sustains the relationships, connections and resources to implement great ideas.

La Choza del Mundo’s mission is to promote and provide for human progress through education and community initiatives.

La Choza del Mundo became a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization in 2008 with the goal of investing in people and their projects. The Choza has a physical presence in Concepcion, Costa Rica, a locus for individual and group exchange where we come together to envision, debate, plan and implement beneficial projects for individual and community development.

The Choza offers opportunities for individuals through the Fellowship Program, either on-site at the live/work property in Costa Rica or elsewhere, and through our Membership Program. Use of the property, coordination of events, educational and other programs are facilitated by the Choza Membership, which governs the activities of the Choza.
